Skeleton Coast CampSkeleton Coast Camp is a tiny tented camp located on the Khumib River within the private concession area of the Skeleton Coast Park. At any one time a maximum of 12 guests can occupy the 6 large 'Meru' style tents of Skeleton Coast Camp to enjoy the completely different safari experience that this camp offers. Skeleton Coast Safari ExperienceUnlike any other safari destination, the Skeleton Coast provides such a vast area, such diverse areas of interest and such a range of terrains that safaris here tend to be focused outings, usually a full day trip involving a picnic lunch in the wild. Typical Activities from Skeleton Coast CampOutings from camp include full day nature drives and walks, excursions to a seal colony and natural springs, coastal ecology, visiting a working Himba village and tracking desert elephants, and visits to the clay castles, roaring dunes and lichen fields, as well as other areas of amazing geographical diversity. A Cosy RetreatSkeleton Coast Camp provides civilised respite, with a large central lounge, bar and dining area with stunning views of the surrounding desert. There is also a library and outside eating area for fair weather dining under an old, picturesque leadwood tree.
