The dramatic red dunes of SossusvleiThe dramatic red dunes of Sossusvlei are one of the defining images of Namibia, characterising adventures here. These are some of the highest dunes in the world, towering up to over 1000 feet above the surrounding plains at Sossusvlei itself; a stunning and endlessly photogenic landscape. A trip to the deserts of Sossusvlei imprints upon the mind's eye, a vast and impressive landscape to explore on foot, by 4x4 or from the vantage point of a hot air balloon.
